Advantages:
- short treatment times
- reduced risk of IOL pitting
- greater patient comfort
OptoYag is a Photodisruptor for Capsulotomy and Iridotomy treatments. It is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser emitting short pulses at the wavelength of 1064 nm. The laser is integrated into the e-SlitLight. The OptoYag emits pulses at levels from 0.5 to 10 mJ. A dual red diode aiming beam with continuous power adjustment allows precise focusing of the YAG laser.

Key features
PPS™ – Pulse to Pulse Stability
Optotek has spent extra time and effort to ensure highest reliability and safety of the system. The OptoYAG M incorporates a PPS™ technology for delivering stable output energy far exceeding current industry standards. Enhanced accuracy and stability of energy provide the highest degree of safety and assure effective and efficient eye treatments.
e-SlitLight™
LED slit lamp offers thousands of hours of bright white light originating from the solid state LED light source. The LED illumination enhances color, detail and contrast and therefore significantly improves imaging. Additionally, it’s minimal heat emission makes the treatment comfortable even for dry eye patients.
FES™ - Fine Energy Setting
Advanced technical solutions and sophisticated electronics incorporated into the OptoYag M allow for a precise adjustment of energy in order to match the specific needs of the therapy or the patient. Fine energy setting buttons are conveniently located just next to a joystick, offering a physician easy and accurate adaptation of energy to the patient’s eye response. This means the physician has 30 energy levels to choose from – unique feature making OptoYag M a top class in photodisruption.

Treatment at 3 Hz
The OptoYag M with newly designed laser cavity and optimized system configuration features repetition rate at 3 Hz. Faster treatment shifts physician’s productivity and patient’s comfort to a completely new level.
Easy-to-move System
Convenient portable design allows ophthalmologists to change location with ease. Having electronics box underneath the table, the system can be moved freely to another worktop and therefore instantly ready for use.
MECHANICAL PRECISION AND OPTICAL QUALITY
OptoYag is made with special care. High quality optical and mechanical components are made in-house or in close cooperation with suppliers within the EU.

Key information
For the highest standards, all laser components are manufactured in Optotek Did you know that most companies that manufacture YAG / SLT cavity give the production of them to third-party manufacturers? We at Optotek have the technology, technical expertise and experts to manufacture YAG / SLT laser technology solely by ourself and with that we are setting higher standards to our products.
Testimonials
About OptoYag: ” The OptoYag is very accurate and repeatable with very good energy delivery. Some YAG lasers can be temperamental, but the OptoYag is excellent. Optotek has a very good service record. If there is ever an issue, they are very quick to respond. “
About OptoYag&SLT: “The Optotek device is a true dual use device with no compromises or weaknesses to either mode. I found the optics to be superb and the adjustable table could even suit wheelchair bound patients. Most importantly, the YAG mode makes peripheral iridotomy and capsulotomy procedures very easy, efficient and safe”.
About OptoSLT: “I’ve been performing Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty for over 5 years and have found that an easy-to-use laser device that delivers effective, predictable results, is crucial for the best patient outcomes. As a compact, laser device with stable and efficient laser technology, the Optotek SLT laser is a stand-out device that ticks all of these boxes.”
About LacriMax: “Although I still use the original laser transcanalicular DCR device from Optotek in my practice, I have found that the LacriMax is very user friendly because the surgeon doesn’t need to perform any preoperative calculations; all they have to do is push a button. Additionally, the new » single use« cannula is smaller in diameter so it is much easier to insert. It is also helpful that the LacriMax machine automatically recognizes the diameter of the laser fiber. This means that someone who is unfamiliar with the device can just push the button and begin. The new BD handpiece enables to adjust the fiber tip during the surgery with single hand”.
